Over the years I have loved to not only photograph birds but also record their calls to some extent.
This has usually been on a camcorder.
Sometimes I have just concentrated on sound recording rather than trying to video the subjects as cam corders usually have good recording performances as long as you avoid the noise of the mechanics of the camera.
With Digital Recording now this is not a problem.
