Photo walking in the Pandemic

As we are in various restrictions in Adelaide and Australia because of the Coronavirus pandemic it is till possible to do some things.
I can go for a walk for exercise as long as I practice the distance restrictions when out and about.
I normally walk at least once a day.
So today, Friday 3rd April I went for a walk to and along a nearby linear park.
I took my camera as I know there are some beautiful flowering gum trees on the walk.
Various birds including the multi coloured Rainbow Lorikeet are active in these trees at present.
So here are some shots from my walk.
I also put into practice what Sean Dooley of Birdlife Australia is recommending.

Monarto Zoo-South Australia

In June this year we had a memorable day out at South Australia's Monarto Zoo.
A Zoo where exotic animals can roam free and even a Lion Cage where you can have the shark cage experience but with Lions instead of sharks.
Not for us thanks.
A great place to visit when in Adelaide.
You view all the animals on safe enclosed bus tours but there are safe walking trails as well.

Hot in Adelaide! 41c

Today's forecast for Adelaide is 41c (celsius).

One of our sons is in Prague where it was -9c.

The birds in our backyard really appreciate  the bird baths in our garden on days like this.

As for me I will stay inside and watch the cricket on telly.

As a matter of interest the Yabbies are "running" in the Riverland.  Hot weather and high river brings then out of the mud where they "hibernate".

More houseboating on the River Murray

Some years back we did a trip on a houseboat with some good friends.
We went from Murray Bridge to Mannum for a day trip.
Here are some pics.
A river holiday in South Australia is hard to beat for relaxation and beautiful scenery.
