"The Coming World Recognition of the Messiah" by Pastor Harold Long
The following taped address is from a series of prophetic messages given by Harold Long in 1978.
This one was on 24/9/78.
I may post some of the others at a later date.
The titles were :
"The Coming World Snatching Away" (The Rapture)
"The Coming World Religion"
"The Coming World Government"
"The Coming World Dictator"
"The Coming World War"
"The Coming World Role of Israel"
and this one.
They were part of the evening gospel service of the Church of Christ at Grote St. Adelaide South Australia.
Harold was the Minister who God used to bring me to Him.
We had the privilege of Harold and also Frank Hunting(on this blog) as our joint Pastors in partnership.
They complimented each other beautifully and had worked in tandem before in other churches.
Harold was very strong on Bible prophecy and also evangelism.
On this tape there is a Bible reading by both Ministers.
Both Ministers are now with their Lord.
You will not hear preaching like this in too many Churches these days.
The message is still as relevant as ever.
It may be that the Lord Jesus returns today or in several years time but if you are alive at the time will you be ready?

The Holy Spirit by Frank Hunting
This is a sermon by Frank Hunting who was a long serving Churches of Christ Minister in Australia.
I had the privilege of him being one of my 2 pastors for a period of 5 years in my formative Christian years.
For many years after that, and also since he died some years ago, he has been a a source of inspiration to my wife and I and many others.
This sermon teaches us that The Holy Spirit is always with us as Christians and what that can and should mean to us. You will find much more of his teaching on this blog.
This sermon was given at the Church of Christ at Grote Street Adelaide in 1980.
The symbol chosen for this podcast, of the light, is because when I was in a time of sickness and staring at this ceiling, the vision of a cross and light reminded me of the Holy Spirit's constant presence.

1st reading John 5:30-40 New Living Translation
30 I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.
2nd reading New Living Translation
14 Jesus told them, “These claims are valid even though I make them about myself. For I know where I came from and where I am going, but you don’t know this about me. 15 You judge me by human standards, but I do not judge anyone. 16 And if I did, my judgment would be correct in every respect because I am not alone. The Father[a] who sent me is with me. 17 Your own law says that if two people agree about something, their witness is accepted as fact.[b] 18 I am one witness, and my Father who sent me is the other.”
19 “Where is your father?” they asked.
Jesus answered, “Since you don’t know who I am, you don’t know who my Father is. If you knew me, you would also know my Father.”

Resurrection Power by Frank Hunting
This sermon was given in the 1970's at the Church of Christ Grote St, Adelaide.
A Bible reading preceeds Frank's sermon.
The Bible teaches that the same power that raised Christ from the dead can and does dwell in the Christian.
Sadly we don't very often live as if this was true.
Listen to Frank explain what this is all about.

"Love" by Frank Hunting a taped address
This is one of the many Frank Hunting tapes I have in my collection that were largely sermons preached in the Church of Christ at Grote Street Adelaide in the mid 1970's. The messages, as is the Bible, are timeless.An important message on love, in particular Calvary Love for all.
